It’s easy to Film in Elbert County!
Anyone interested in filming needs to fill out the following Project Registration Form. After filling out the form, you will be contacted within 24 hours via email.
You do not need a film permit to film in Elbert County. However, certain types of filming might require public assembly permits from the Elberton Police Department.
You will need a public assembly permit from the Police Department IF…
- You are filming within the City limits of Elberton AND
- Plan on blocking/closing roads AND/OR
- Will make excessive noise between 11pm and 7am in a residential or downtown district AND/OR
- Crowds will be gathered AND/OR
The Elberton Police Department can be reached at 706-213-3130. Chief Mark Welsh will be responsible for permitting.
